Our Marketplace Standard
Housing discrimination is not permitted on RentGiant. Providers are responsible for ensuring that listings, qualification practices, communications, advertising, and rental decisions comply with applicable law.
RentGiant may review, reject, unpublish, remove, or restrict content or accounts that violate marketplace rules or applicable fair-housing requirements.
Federal Fair Housing Protections
The federal Fair Housing Act prohibits housing discrimination because of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, familial status, or disability.
State and local laws may protect additional characteristics. Marketplace users are responsible for following all laws that apply to the property and transaction.
Prohibited Marketplace Conduct
Users may not publish discriminatory preferences or limitations, apply unlawful different terms or conditions, falsely represent that housing is unavailable, steer people toward or away from housing for a prohibited reason, or otherwise use RentGiant to facilitate unlawful housing discrimination.
Disability and Accommodation
Housing providers may have legal obligations concerning reasonable accommodations, reasonable modifications, accessibility, and effective communication. Providers are responsible for understanding and complying with obligations applicable to their properties and operations.
Reporting a Concern
If you believe a RentGiant listing or marketplace user is violating fair-housing law or RentGiant policy, contact RentGiant with the listing information and a description of the concern.
People who believe they have experienced unlawful housing discrimination may also contact the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development or an appropriate state or local fair-housing agency.
