1. Information We Collect
We may collect account and contact information such as name, email address, telephone number, business name, account role, provider type, and organization information.
Listing providers may submit property addresses, descriptions, pricing, availability, photographs, property characteristics, and other listing information.
Renters may submit inquiry information including name, email address, optional telephone number, and the message sent to a listing provider.
RentGiant may collect technical information associated with use of the service, including IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, security events, logs, and similar operational data.
2. How We Use Information
We use information to operate the marketplace, create and secure accounts, publish and manage listings, route renter inquiries, support users, moderate marketplace activity, prevent abuse, maintain security, improve the service, and comply with legal obligations.
We may also use contact information for service-related communications concerning accounts, listings, inquiries, security, moderation, billing, and important marketplace changes.
3. Renter Inquiries
When a renter submits an inquiry about a listing, the renter’s submitted contact information and message may be shared with the listing provider or authorized members of the provider organization so they can respond.
After information has been shared with a provider, that provider may have independent legal responsibilities concerning its handling of the information.
4. Service Providers and Payment Processing
RentGiant may use hosting, email, security, mapping, geocoding, analytics, payment, and other technology providers to operate the service. RentGiant uses Google Analytics 4 on public-facing pages to measure traffic and understand how visitors use the marketplace. Those providers may process information on RentGiant’s behalf subject to their services and applicable obligations.
If paid services are activated, a third-party payment processor may process payment information. RentGiant may receive transaction identifiers, customer identifiers, subscription status, and related billing information without needing to receive full payment-card numbers.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
RentGiant may use cookies and similar technologies for authentication, preferences, security, functionality, measurement, and analytics. Google Analytics 4 may process information such as page views, referring pages, browser and device information, and approximate geographic information for traffic measurement. The RentGiant integration is configured for marketplace measurement and does not intentionally send passwords, renter message text, or form-entered contact details to Google Analytics. RentGiant also uses a first-party analytics cookie on public rental-detail pages to count qualified listing views and estimate unique visitors. The cookie contains a random identifier; RentGiant stores a one-way hashed form of that identifier in its native listing analytics tables rather than the raw cookie value, and raw IP addresses are not stored in those native analytics tables. Rapid repeat views may be excluded from provider-facing counts. Browser settings may allow you to control certain cookies, although disabling necessary cookies can affect site functionality.
6. When Information May Be Disclosed
Information may be disclosed to service providers, listing providers receiving renter inquiries, authorized organization users, professional advisers, or government authorities when reasonably necessary to operate the service, protect rights and safety, investigate misuse, respond to lawful process, or comply with law.
Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
7. Sale of Personal Information
RentGiant does not currently sell personal information for money. If marketplace practices materially change, this policy and any legally required privacy choices will be updated.
8. Data Retention
RentGiant retains information for periods reasonably necessary for marketplace operations, account administration, transaction and inquiry history, security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and legitimate business purposes.
Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable legal requirements.
For first-party rental-listing analytics, RentGiant uses one-way visitor identifiers to distinguish qualified visits. These visitor identifiers are retained for up to 90 days and are then deleted. Aggregated daily listing-view counts may be retained for longer periods because they do not contain the visitor identifier.
9. Security
RentGiant uses administrative and technical safeguards intended to protect marketplace information. No internet service or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Users are responsible for protecting their own account credentials and should promptly report suspected unauthorized access.
10. Privacy Choices and Requests
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other treatment of certain personal information.
Privacy requests may be submitted through the RentGiant Contact page. RentGiant may need to verify identity before completing a request and may retain information where permitted or required by law.
11. Children
RentGiant is not directed to children under 18 and is not intended for children to create provider or commercial accounts.
12. Changes to This Policy
RentGiant may update this Privacy Policy as the marketplace and legal requirements change. The current version and effective date will be posted on this page.
13. Contact
Privacy questions and requests may be submitted through the RentGiant Contact page.
